Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product made by breaking down hardwood or softwood into wood fibers, often in a defibrator, combining it with wax and a resin binder, and forming it into panels by applying high temperature and pressure. MDF is generally more dense than plywood. It is made up of separated fibers, but can be used as a building material similar in application to plywood. It is stronger, and more dense, than particle board.

Applications
Veneered MDF provides many of the advantages of MDF with a decorative wood veneer surface layer. Spurred by the high costs of hardwoods, we have been adopting this approach to achieve a high-quality finishing wrap covering over a standard MDF board. We commonly use oak veneer, parota veneer, teak veneer, sapelli veneer and others. Making veneered MDF is a complex procedure, which involves taking an extremely thin slice of hardwood (about 1-2 mm thick) and then through high pressure and stretching methods wrapping them around the profiled MDF boards.
Initially an organic compound, melamine resin is formed through polymerization as a hard and durable plastic material. It possesses high heat and fire resistance attributes. It can be found in a variety of colors, patterns, sizes, and thickness. Advantages:

Slatwall (also known as slotwall), are typically made from MDF, with a finish such as melamine paper pressed or laminated onto one or both sides. It consists of panels, usually 4 ft. by 8 ft., with horizontal grooves that are configured to accept a variety of merchandising accessories. Grooves are then machined into the board and painted or fitted with plastic or aluminum inserts, is a building material used in shopfitting for wall coverings or display fixtures.
MOISTURE RESISTANT MDF
Moisture Resistant MDF is an incredibly versatile panel, with a high internal bond strength, used as a substitute for softwoods and hardwoods and as a panel product in non-stressed applications. It is successfully used for kitchen furniture, bathroom furniture, architectural mouldings, skirting boards, architraves, window boards, flooring and general interior joinery. Typically used for internal applications where occasional wetting or humidity is a problem, suitable for all types of machining and surface finishes. The panel conforms to the latest European low emission standards 'E1'.
