♠ What is a hub nut?
A lug nut or wheel nut is a fastener, specifically a nut, used to secure a wheel on a vehicle. Typically, lug nuts are found on automobiles, trucks (lorries), and other large vehicles using rubber tires.
♠ What is the role of car nuts?
Connect the wheel hub to the body to install the disc, so that the wheel hub can be safely fixed in high-speed driving. Remarks: Generally, the original car is fixed by bolts or nuts, and a few sports cars are fixed by the center lock.
♠What kind of nut?
Common mating surfaces are: cone,(Most such as: Nissan, Mazda, BMW, etc.) flat,(a few such as: Lexus, Jaguar, etc.) ball (eg. Audi,Volkswagen, Benz, etc.).
♠Do new rims need new lug nuts?
While some are designed to reuse your current wheel's stock lug nuts or bolts, other options will require something different if the new wheel's lug seat type is different. Also, you'll need new lug nuts or bolts if the hole in the face of the wheel needs tuner style lugs or if the center cap requires a shorter lug.
