1. Why do chiropractors use hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)?
The combination of Chiropractic with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy can be a very powerful and holistic approach to healing and recovery. Chiropractic adjustments can cause localized inflammation, which can lead to a short term worsening of pain and disability. HBOT decreases inflammation, decreases pain, and allows the body to heal from within faster and more efficiently.
2.How can HBOT help pain relief?
HBOT helps the body to get more oxygen that is required for energy and then release out the lactic acid that mainly causes tiredness in muscles of the athletes. The higher level of oxygen that enters the body of an athlete will help them to increase their performance and then recover faster after their training. The increased oxygen delivered to brain help to activate the brain functions effectively which makes the athlete take decisions quickly that could have an impact on the output of the game.
3. How long is the treatment?
Treatment usually are 60-90 minutes per session, 5-7 Times per week.
4. What's the benefits of HBOT for athletes?
5.Is HBOT safe?
While it's generally very safe, as with all medical treatments, Hyperbaric Oxygen THerapy carries with it the risk of complications that in rate instances can be life threatening and/or result in permanent or long-term disability. Barotrauma is a term that refers to injury due to increased pressure.
