Air brake tubing is a lightweight, semi-rigid tubing used for air brake, instrumentation and accessory systems on trucks, trailers, buses and other commercial vehicles. All colours and sizes meet SAE J844, J1131 J2494-3 and DOT FMVSS106 specifications; this tubing is not designed for compressor discharge or other truck applications where high temperatures are encountered. Unlike other hose, this tubing is ordered by the outside diameter.
Construction: Tube: Smooth, high-grade polyamide. Cover: Smooth, high-grade polyamide (available in black, blue, green, orange, purple, red, and yellow). Reinforcement: Type A, non-reinforced; Type B, polyester fiber reinforced .
Typical Fittings: 1400 series brass DOT air brake compression fittings or PC1400 series push-in style DOT tube fittings designed specifically for nylon air brake hose.
Temperature Range: -54°C (-65°F) to +93°C (199°F), Solstice -40°C (-40°F) to +93°C (+200°F)
