1. Can my car use this device, how should I install it?
Yes. As per the international regulation, most car after 2000 has ready OBD port, 80% under the dashboard and near the pedal brake position. If you can't find the location,please consult our sales.
Just insert simcard in firstly, then plug device into the car OBD port, it'll start working. You can play this device on our APP or web portal.
2. Does it support engine data reading?
G500M is only powered from car OBD port to realize tracking function.
G500 & G500L support this function.
3. Can it shut off the engine remotely?
No. Cutting off the oil/electricity will require engine relay, OBD doesn't support such accessory.
please refer to our hard-wiring devices like G05/TK08A/TK100 etc.
4. Can it support fuel consumption reading & car error codes?
G500M is simple version,
G500/G500L can read fuel consumption & other PIDs (including DTCs) from car engine (if the car support these PIDs).
5. Can I listen remotely for what's happening in my car?
G500M support this function, send the cooresponding command via SMS or APP.
6. Do I have to use regular simcard for remote voice listening?
For G500M, Our device will transfer voice via GPRS to backend server, so all simcard with GPRS, including M2M simcard can all enjoy this function
7. Why device show my car is in the ocean?
Because device will will default position when first time using. Please drive the car out of garage, and keep running for about 5 min.device will getting with correct position correctly.
8. Why My car MIL light is on after intsalling G500?
This may happen to G500/G500L when the car refuse any reading/scanning by external OBD, for this situition,plz take out G500/G500L,restart the car it'll be back to normal.
For such cars, plz only use G500M.
