1.An overview,
Reverse osmosis (RO) is a new membrane separation technology developed in 1960s. Its pore size is very small, mostly ≤10×101(10A),
it can remove the ion range and small molecular weight in the filtrate of organic matter, such as bacteria, viruses, etc.. Widely
used in seawater and brackish water desalination, steel, petroleum, chemical, power generation, refrigeration and heating,
electronics, medicine, domestic water and other aspects. It has the advantages of high desalination rate, high water conservancy
rate, high degree of automation and low energy consumption.
2.The working principle
Reverse osmosis, also known as reverse osmosis (RO), is to separate the solvent (usually water) in the solution through the
reverse osmosis membrane (semi-permeable membrane) with sufficient pressure. Because of the opposite direction of natural osmosis,
it is called reverse osmosis. ＜According to the different osmotic pressure of various materials, the purpose of separation,
extraction, purification and concentration can be achieved by reverse osmosis which is greater than the osmotic pressure.
