What is reverse osmosis?

Reverse osmosis, is a membrane separation operation that uses a pressure difference as a driving force to separate a solvent from a solution. Because it is opposite to the direction of natural infiltration, it is called reverse osmosis. According to the different osmotic pressure of various materials, the reverse osmosis pressure greater than the osmotic pressure, that is, the reverse osmosis method, can be used for the purpose of separation, extraction, purification and concentration.

Reverse osmosis is currently the membrane separation technology with the highest filtration accuracy. The filtration accuracy is 0.0001um. Filtered all the substances in tap water, no minerals and trace elements, this water can be directly consumed. Impurities in the water such as soluble solids, organic matter, colloidal substances and bacteria are trapped by the reverse osmosis membrane, concentrated in the intercepting liquid and removed. Primary reverse osmosis removes more than 97% of the dissolved solids in the raw water.
