I.Purpose:
The instrument is mainly used to determine the penetration of residues of viscous petroleum asphalt, viscous shale asphalt, and liquid petroleum asphalt after distillation or emulsification.
The penetration of asphalt is the depth at which a standard needle with a certain weight penetrates the sample vertically at a specified time and temperature. Products meet the standards: ASTM D5; AASHTO T49.
II. Main Functional Characteristics
1. LCD display.
2. Three consecutive tests can be carried out to automatically calculate the average value of the test.
3. The system test mode allows sensor detection.
4. The instrument working platform can be adjusted up and down within 0-25mm.
5. The penetrating needle rod can be manually adjusted up and down.
6. The test time can be set to 5 seconds, 15 seconds, 30 seconds and 60 seconds.
7. With industrial standard RS232C communication interface (optional), the instrument can be operated through the communication interface to complete the test and read the test results.
8. Low temperature penetration test can be done with low temperature water bath.
