1) Q: What is Silhouette Soft Lift Threads ?
A: Silhouette Soft Lift is a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment to redefine facial contours with immediate results
Silhouette Soft Lift is intended to be used for facial reconstruction in the treatment, for instance, of facial lipoatrophy, or morphological asymmetry. Silhouette Soft Lift is a resorbable sterile implantable single-use device intended for adult patients and is used in multiple pairs to provide for elevation and compression of facial and neck tissue.
Silhouette Soft Lift monofilaments are made of Poly L-lactic acid (PLLA) and Polycaprolactone (PCL) while the cones are made of poly (L-lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA). They are two biocompatible polymers frequently used in medical devices for their outstanding tolerance in the body.
2) Q: Treatment Options
A: Silhouette Soft Lift is a technological innovation offering women and men what no treatment has ever provided in such a simple and minimally invasive way. A re-tightening effect for an immediate and discreet result. Regenerative effect for gradual and natural-looking results.
3) Q: During the Treatment
A:Before conducting the treatment your physician will evaluate your needs and explain where the Silhouette Soft Lift sutures will be placed using a marking pen. The treated areas will be sterilized, and you may be given a topical anaesthetic to numb the area prior to the suture’s insertion.
Due to the sutures being inserted into the sub-cutaneous tissue there is relatively low level of discomfort during and after your treatment. Once the suture has been applied, the doctor performs slight compression of the tissue to reshape it by hand and to obtain the desired lifting effect. The non-inserted ends of the suture are cut off.
The number of sutures applied depends on the skin laxity and condition.
4) Q: Following the Treatment?
A: The insertion of Silhouette Soft Lift elicits a minimal inflammatory reaction, this is normal and required. After placement patients may experience side some side effects, this may include minor pain, swelling and bruising.
The retightening effect is immediate: thanks to bi-directional cones distributed over the suspension suture that keep the skin in an elevated position. And the regenerative action is gradual: the main component of the suture (Poly L-lactic acid: PLLA) during reabsorbtion stimulates the body so that it produces its own collagen. This action, which continues over time, restores the contours of the face and offers long term results.
Your physician will provide you with post-treatment recommendations and an aftercare programme to follow to ensure the best possible result.
