Characteristics of the Product:

XTRA Root is a humic extract with high concentration of quality humic and fulvic acids (low molecular weight), to help the formation of structural aggregates and improving the physico-chemical and agronomical characteristics of the soil. This would activate biological activity, increase fertility of soils, and improves water retention and the presence of gaseous constituents, to create the best conditions for root growth, expansion and elongation of crops. Furthermore, the formula boosts tolerance to stress related ploughing and transplanting in the beginning of the agricultural season.

The product is supplemented with organic carbon (OC), the main source of energy for soil microorganisms, and the added organo-mineral nitrogen (N) is to control the carbon-to-nitrogen ratio (C/N ratio), which determines carbon quality and availability, and regulates decomposition and fertility in soils. The amino acids are considered as precursors and constituents of proteins in plant metabolism, they also play wide roles in plant, acting as regulatory and signalling molecules even under stress conditions. Due to the positive correlation between humification and phosphate-sorption capacity, totally water-soluble phosphorus is added to the formula to increase its absorption for its important role in energy-transforming processes in the crops. Given that zinc is an integral component of enzyme structures, its presence in the formula plays a catalytic and structural role in enzyme reactions.

XTRA Rootused in the appropriate doses creates mutualistic symbioses between the roots and the substrate, generating continuously active, bigger and healthier root systems, which improves nutrients uptake efficiency, reduces susceptibility to root pathogenic attacks, and increases root tolerance and response to biotic and abiotic stress and pathogens.

Application:

XTRA Rootis ideally used by fertigation, on all crops and at the first growth stages. A distance of 10-15 days is recommended between applications. For trees, it is recommended by foliar application after the fruit set, taking into account the following precautions: avoid spraying tender plants, during full bloom and in extreme weather conditions (hot weather, cold and in wind), to prevent yield damage and to reduce losses by evaporation, freezing and drifting. If needed, it could also be used by foliar application on all other crops, taking into consideration that for tender crops and in protected agriculture half of the recommended rates should be use. Adjust the rates according to soil pH conditions (increase under saline conditions).

XTRA Rootis recommended for two to three applications according to the growth stages indicated below. The rates should be adjusted according to the crop type and variety and the agricultural practices. Therefore, the rates indicated in the table below are only indicative. For more information, we recommend to discuss the specific crop and field conditions with an agronomist.

Compatibility:

XTRA Root is compatible with most soluble fertilisers, crop nutrients and amendments, herbicides and pesticides. Before using previously untried mixes, we strongly recommend performing a compatibility test on a small sample.

Handling & Storage: Handle with care and keep at ambient environment of the warehouse, out of reach of children or animals. Use only in case of need respecting the indicated doses, avoid skin and eyes contact and inhalation. Not to be sold loose. The product is inflammable.
