"Handmade soap" FAQ
1. How did the handmade soap come from?
Grease + sodium hydroxide + water = soap + glycerin is as simple as that! Glycerin is an indispensable moisturizing ingredient in skin care products and cosmetics. It naturally produces 25% glycerin during the saponification process of hand soap, moisturizing and mild.
2. Why is handmade soap better than commercial soap
Most of the commercially available soaps are used for cosmetic purposes when saponification is used for saponification, and there is no glycerin soap, and the skin is easily dried after washing. Some of the commercially available soaps cannot be called "soap" at all because they are chemically synthesized detergents that not only wash away the skin's natural oils, but also cause damage to the skin and the environment.
3, using sodium hydroxide as a handmade soap will not hurt the skin?
Alkaline substances must be used to make handmade soaps. Ancient people used alkaline substances in wood ash, and now use sodium hydroxide from sea salt. Sodium hydroxide is a strong base that can damage the skin, but after saponification with oil and water, it is no longer sodium hydroxide, but soap and glycerin. In order to completely saponify the sodium hydroxide, the hand soap must be left for one to two months, and the fully saponified soap will of course not damage the skin.
4. Why do our soaps take water drops?
Cold soap will produce 20-25% glycerin in the process of production. In addition, a large amount of precious moisturizing ingredients originally contained in vegetable oil, the soap will automatically lock the moisture in the surrounding air, so it will be integrated into the water surface of the soap surface. The use of cold soap has no effect, just wipe it off.
5, the normal reaction of the skin
Some people use cold soap to produce dry and rough skin, small acne and other similar cosmetics, we call it "return phenomenon", the "turning phenomenon" is because long-term use contains a large number of chemical synthesis interface activity Agent, shower gel, etc., it is not easy to rinse when washing, and it remains on the skin after washing, and the sebum film is destroyed over time. When the skin just started to contact the soap soap, the sebum film that lost its normal function could not be adapted at once, and it could not restore the fat and acid-base balance in a short time, so it felt dry and tight. The improvement will gradually disappear within 1 month (the physiological cycle of the skin is 28 days).
6, the color and aroma of soap
The color added to the soap is chemically synthesized. Chemically synthesized, although it is rich in color, it is not easy to fade, but it will damage the skin for a long time. For the sake of the skin, my soap will try to maintain the original taste. With some pigments, such as herbal tea, green algae, mineral mud, Chinese herbal medicine, green tea powder, carrot juice, cocoa powder, etc., the soap can make the soap more fragrant and more nutritious. In order for soap to be combined with aromatherapy, some soaps use pure plant essential oils to add flavor to the soap soap.
