1. What is CBD?
CBD is an abbreviation for cannabidiol, a phyto-cannabinoid compound within the category of cannabinoids, active components of cannabis. Unlike THC (the cannabinoid compound that produces a “high” in the user), hemp-derived CBD is notable for its lack of psychoactive properties. What CBD does possess, however, is the reported ability to positively affect certain functions in the human body. These reported effects allow CBD’s potential health benefits to be accessed by more people in a wider variety of circumstances.
2. Will Wellphora CBD make me “high?”
No. When hemp-derived CBD is extracted from the hemp plant, the psychoactive component in hemp, THC, is present in such low, federally mandated trace amounts that it causes no “high” effect.
3. What is meant by “full-spectrum” CBD?
Hemp-derived, full-spectrum CBD contains other related cannabinoids, as opposed to “CBD isolate,” which has had those additional components distilled out. Full-spectrum CBD is considered to be more effective than other types of CBD. This is believed to be due to the “entourage effect,” or the combined effect of multiple cannabinoids working together, naturally, within the body in ways that are still not fully understood or explained by science.
4. How many milligrams (mg) are in a Canneuro 1000 dose?
Our Canneuro 1000 is 1000mg of full-spectrum, hemp-derived CBD in a bottle that contains 30 mL of total product. Each bottle in the Canneuro line-up is designed to provide 60 doses via a 1mL dropper. Each dose is a half dropper and each half dropper is 1/2 mL. The Canneuro 1000 would contain approximately 17mg of CBD per dose, which is recommended 2-3x daily.
5. Can there be any side effects from using hemp oil/CBD-hd?
Hemp-derived CBD has been connected with certain possible undesired side effects, including dry mouth, nausea, “wake” feeling, drowsiness, dizziness, diarrhea, changes in appetite, nervousness, and depression, but is generally considered well-tolerated by most humans with a very small group experiencing these less-desireable effects.
There are people that hemp oil may not be right for:
• Pregnant women or lactating mothers
• Children
• Individuals with hepatic or liver diseases
• People who are allergic or sensitive to MCT oil
