Product Description
Premium quality, ecological mat emulsion paint for use on interior walls. It is certified according to the criteria of the European Union Ecolabelling Board (EUEB). Very Low odor paint during and after its application. Near zero VOC content. It contributes to the best indoor air quality and heathier environment as well, due to the very low emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds. It is certified with Indoor Air Comfort GOLD, the world’s most rigorous indoor emission rating system. It provides great hiding power, unrivalled performance, exceptional whiteness and excellent durability to frequent washing 

(Class 1, EN 13300/ISO 11998).

Surfaces should be smooth, clean and dry, free from grease, dust, loose or flaking paint. To fill any cracks or holes use Acrylic Putty or Visto. Surfaces previously covered with water paints or distempers (lime wash or ceiling white) should be primed with Acrylan Unco Eco. New surfaces made of plaster, concrete, cement, plasterboard, etc. should be first primed with Acrylan Unco Eco or Blanco Eco. Surfaces stained from smoke, graffity, coffee or any other kind of stain should first be primed with Blanco Eco. For darker coatings (medium and transparent base) first apply one coat of Blanco Eco, as it is or slightly tinted to the shade of final coat.

Stir well before use. Apply two coats by roller, brush or by spray gun diluted up to 10% with water. Do not apply at temperatures below 5οC, above 35οC and/or relative humidity above 80%. It is touch-dry after 30-60 minutes and can be recoated after 3-4 hours. Drying time depends on weather conditions (humidity and temperature). Allow at least 3 weeks before cleaning and washing newly painted surfaces with Vitex Eco. Wash gently with water using a soft sponge. In case of bad stains, use a mild colourless detergent or soapy water. After paint application, seal the pail and store it in temperatures between 5οC and 35οC for future use. Tools must be cleaned immediately after use with water and if needed with soapy water or a detergent. Do not dispose of liquid waste into ground water table. Unused paint requires special handling for safe disposal. Advice regarding disposal and collection should be sought from the local authority.

Containers must be kept closed in a cool, dry, well ventilated area protected from direct sunlight at temperatures between 5ο C - 38ο C.

History

Vitex since 1932 "writes" the history of color in Greece...

Yannidis group was founded in 1932, with main activity in trade bituminous membranes for insulating buildings and continued with the creation of the necessary installations for mass production under the name "Hermes". In 1960 the company expanded its business to the production of paints and varnishes. VITEX brand was born! It was the company's first product in this industry. The company then was named ERMICHROM and VITEX was at the time a pioneering plastic paint color.

The product's success was based on fast drying properties, which enabled the user to "perform all the work faster and with greater economic benefit."

The commercial policy back then, aimed at the development of distribution at all the relevant stores all over Greece The graphical display of the label becomes well known in Greece and the container with "VITEX plastic color" becomes instantly recognizable. This way the brand «VITEX» acquires awareness and becomes a synonym of good quality plastic color for each use.

Along with the spread of the plastic color, the company develops more products relative to the wider range of decorative paints.

Following the latest trends, and as the company's activities expand outside Greece, the trade name of the company today has become VITEX-HERMES, with VITEX referring to the production of coating paints and varnishes and HERMES in the field of bituminous waterproofing products
