1).-- Air Clutch Transmission
Air Clutch Transmission is the traditional driveway, usually, the power is a diesel engine, diesel engine transmits its power to the pump through the transmission(composed of the gearbox, air clutch, Cardan shaft, big pulley, etc). as a traditional one, this kind of structure is widely used in oilfields.
2).-- Hydraulic Coupling Transmission
Hydraulic Coupling Transmission is a new driveway, Diesel engine and hydraulic coupling connected together thus compose the diesel engine unit, the diesel engine unit connect the mud pump through only a Cardan shaft directly, this kind of structure saved more space of the oilfield and easy to delivery, so it is now very popular in the oilfields.
3).-- Electric Motor Drive
Electric Motor Drive Mud Pump Package usually equips the electric drilling rig, it can equip with DC Motor or AC Motor according to the customer's requirement. The advantage of this structure is that the pump is controlled by electricity, with the electric control panel, the pump is very easy to run.
4).-- Chain Drive
Chain Drive Mud Pump Package is also a traditional way, instead of V belt and pulley, here use the chain and sprocket wheel with more good performance. But one disadvantage is that the maintenance of the chain and sprocket is very expensive.
5).-- Hydraulic Torque Converter Transmission
A fluid coupling is a two element drive that is incapable of multiplying torque, while a torque converter has at least one extra element—the stator—which alters the drive's characteristics during periods of high slippage, producing an increase in output torque.
