Binary refrigeration system
[Binary refrigeration system for high efficiency]
A binary refrigeration system uses two types of refrigerants having different boiling points. Each refrigerant circulates in an independent refrigeration cycle and both are combined by a heat exchanger.
This system is used to attain ultra-low temperatures of -50℃ to -60℃. The commonly-used, single-refrigerant, two-stage compression system is very inefficient due to the poor performance of the refrigerant at ultra-low temperatures. Efficiency is therefore improved by combining two types of refrigerants which have different temperature characteristics.
Features of the unit cooler type

Kanou Reiki's unit cooler type uses a scroll compressor for both the low and high racks to ensure stable operation. The unit cooler uses a fan motor made by a reputable manufacturer for ultra-low temperatures down to -60℃. The fan outlet has a damper and the intake has a hood for efficient defrosting and suppression of any increase in the freezer's temperature. This is to ensure stable ultra-low temperatures and lower power consumption. Also, the provided control box has a digital temperature controller and
defrost timer which you can set as necessary.
The binary refrigeration system's excellent freezing performance attains ultra-low temperatures with less horsepower than other types of freezers.
