Q: Do I need the software to use the-G1?
No! You just need the software if you want to re-program the logger (and only if the logger have not been started yet)
Q: What are the different alarm types?
A: There are several different alarm types:
·Single event: Alarm triggers if the actual temperature is out of setting range
·Time - cumulative: Alarm triggers if the actual temperature is out of the ideal range for the total time specified.
Q: How often do the logger need to be calibrated?
A: The product design uses a self-calibrating circuit. Means that every time, the microprocessor determines the circuit resistance
by using a high-precision resistor in place of the thermistor. This allows the unit to compensate for any effects the electronic
circuit has on accurate temperature readings over the life of the product.
Q: What is the life cycle/expectancy of a single use data logger?
A: A G1 single use logger has a one-year shelf time. We guarantee the battery life and monitor accuracy for one year.
Q: How many days can G1 temperature data logger run?
A: In-transit G1 temperature data logger are designed for relatively short duration shipments in the range of 10 to 90 days. In
order to support storage condition monitoring, some models of temperature data logger product line operate for longer periods of
time, up to 3 years.
Q: Are the temperature data logger water resistant?
A: Yes...the enclosures are dust-tight and sealed to protect the internal electronic circuit against splashing liquids.
Q: What are the threshold temperatures and times at which alarms activate within the temperature data logger?
A: There are no predetermined threshold time/temperatures for alarm conditions. Each data logger is customized to the customer's
unique product requirements. The threshold temperature, threshold time, and alarm type (single-event or cumulative) parameters are
selected by the customer when an order is placed.
Q: Can the data logger be programmed in Fahrenheit?
A: Sure. The alarm temperature values are generated in Celsius or Fahrenheit. When placing an order for data logger, just inform
us you need Fahrenheit or Celsius.
