Children Toy Safety Test Instrument Sharp Edge Tester is used to evaluate whether accessible edges on toys or other products are likely to cause injury. It meets 16CFR 1500.49, ASTM F963 4.7, EN-71 1998 8.11, GB6675-2003 A.5.9 and other standards. A self-adhesive PTFE tape is attached to a mandrel, which is then rotated for a single 360-degree revolution along the accessible edge being tested. If the tape is cut in half or longer in length (approx. 13 mm), the edge is identified as a hazardous sharp edge.
