Total Internal Reflection Prisms (TIR prisms) are used for DLP projectors. These are combined with two triangle prisms.

A combination of two prisms, a TIR prism directs the light beam to the DMD chip (for DLP projector); the light reflected from DMD passes through it to form the projection image.
