Polypropylene ( PP ) | 1. PP is non-toxic, odorless.It is low density. A:Shielding tape is a tape made of conductive adhesive coated with copper foil, aluminum foil, or conductive cloth. Its function is to connect two different metal parts conductively. A:Two properties that the electromagnetic gasket must have are elasticity and electrical conductivity.Common types of electromagnetic sealing gaskets are: EMI shrapnels, metal mesh gaskets, conductive rubber, conductive cloth wrapped foamed sponge, spiral tubes, etc. Except for occasions with tangential sliding contact, avoid using EMI shrapnels. When environmental sealing is required, chose the conductive rubber. Conductive cloth pads can be used in other occasions. When the frequency of shielding is not high, metal mesh gaskets can also be used. When it is ensured that there is no excessive compression, spiral tubes can be used. 1,Metal mesh gasket: This is one of the most commonly used electromagnetic sealing materials. In terms of structure, there are three types: full metal wire, hollow and rubber core. 2, Conductive silicon rubber: It is usually used in places with environmental sealing requirements. Materials: copper powder, aluminum powder, silver powder, silver-plated copper powder, silver-plated aluminum powder, silver-plated glass powder, nickel carbon, etc. Its shielding performance is: low shielding effectiveness at low frequencies and high shielding effectiveness at high frequencies.
Main advantages : provide both electromagnetic and environmental seals. It is harder and more expensive.
Main disadvantages: because the surface is soft, sometimes the oxide layer on the metal surface cannot be penetrated, resulting in low shielding effectiveness.
3,EMI shrapnel: It is usually used in situations where the contact surface is in sliding contact. It can be made into various shapes.The material is beryllium copper, but the surface can be treated with different coatings. The shielding performance is high both at high and low frequencies.
Main advantages ： high shielding effectiveness, allowing sliding contact (which is easy to remove).
Main disadvantages: large amount of deformation, high price.
4,Spiral tube gasket: Spiral tube rolled with beryllium copper or stainless steel, with high shielding effectiveness (all electromagnetic sealing gaskets have the highest shielding effectiveness).
Main advantages： low price, high shielding effectiveness .
Main disadvantages: easy to be damaged by excessive compression.
5,Conductive cloth pad （I/O gasket）: It is made of foamed sponge wrapped with conductive cloth. It can be made into various shapes according to customer requirements, usually with adhesive tape, which is very convenient to install. The shielding effectiveness is high at high and low frequencies.
Main advantages: low price, not easy to be damaged when excessive compression, soft, with certain environmental sealing effect .
Main disadvantages: frequent friction will damage conductive surface.
