Such as copolymerization with acrylonitrile and butadiene to make ABS resin, which is widely used in various household appliances and industries; SAN made by copolymerization with acrylonitrile is a resin with impact resistance and bright color; made by copolymerization with butadiene SBS is a kind of thermoplastic rubber, which is widely used as modifier of polyvinyl chloride and polypropylene.

Styrene is mainly used in the production of styrene series resins and styrene-butadiene rubber. It is also one of the raw materials for the production of ion exchange resins and pharmaceuticals.
