The Thuraya XT-LITE provides reliable satellite phone connectivity with unbeatable value. It is designed for cost-conscious users who need to stay securely connected, without compromising on a clear and uninterrupted connection.
It is one of the only phones that offers dual GSM & satellite voice calling through one SIM card*. It is very easy-to-use. You can make phone calls and send SMS messages in satellite mode, whether you are crossing the desert, sailing at sea or climbing mountains.

Supported by the most robust and powerful satellite network
Thuraya’s satellite network is renowned for having the most reliable satellite coverage, including approximately 160 countries or two-thirds of the globe. The Thuraya XT-LITE enables you to receive a call notification even with the satellite antenna stowed, keeping you connected at all times.
Additional features
Thuraya XT-LITE features also include: Address book, alarms, calculator, calendar, call logs, conference calls, contact groups, speed dialing, stopwatch and world time.
*The XT-LITE / XT-PRO will only work in GSM mode with an international roaming enabled SIM supplied by an official Thuraya roaming partner, or a Thuraya Post-Paid SIM. GSM mode is not available on prepaid Thuraya SIM cards. The phone must be used outside with a clear line of sight to the sky to use the GSM mode.
Not all mobile networks allow you to send text messages to satellite phones and as a result text messaging can be unreliable.

Terms & Conditions Standard SIM:
First call must be made within 12 months.
If a call is not made within the first 12 months from the date of activation, the SIM will enter dormancy status and a fee of $19 will be deducted from the balance every month till call is made. Thuraya Prepaid Plan has a validity of 365 days from first call.
If the account is NOT refilled within the grace period, the entire unused balance will be reset to zero on your Thuraya SIM and the account will be permanently deactivated. Please note that upon requesting activation of your prepaid airtime you are agreeing that we can start providing your network services before the end of the usual statutory cancellation period and that by doing so, you lose your right to cancel your purchase of the prepaid airtime or request a refund. As a result, please check that you have ordered the correct airtime for your handset or terminal. Please refer to our terms and conditions for full information. This doesnot affect your statutory rights.

activation. The Thuraya NOVA SIM has an initial validity of 365 days from first call. Renewal Fee: $39.00 (For every 365 days. 39 Units deducted automatically from balance on renewal date) If the account balance is below 39 units at the renewal time, the account enters the 3-month grace period (Incoming calls are still possible). If the account is refilled within the grace period, the existing balance will be restored. If account is not refilled within the grace period, it will be deactivated and the number will be lost.

Annual renewal fee is waived for heavy users (over $1500 of satellite calls per year).
Upon expiry, account balance is reset to zero and the account enters the 90-day grace period (Incoming calls are still possible). If account is not refilled within the grace period, it will be deactivated and the number will be lost.
Dormancy Fee: If there is no activity on your SIM card for 12 months+ (e.g. making a call), then a dormancy fee of $19.00 will be deducted from your SIM card. If you have a balance with less than $19.00, then the entire balance will be deducted.
