Hydrogeological Study in Paraguay

1. Introduction

The following Technical Report is prepared by the Company Victor Gonzalez & Assoc SS, summarizes the obtained results during hydrogeological study for location of the drilling wells sites in Frutika.

The baseline study, after exhaustive analysis, will be used to achieve uptake groundwater.

The instrument for the work is WDDS-1 digital DC resistivity meter.

2. Location

Reference hydrogeological study was conducted in the district of Frutika. We can see in the image below, the location of the study area:

The deep well is in the UTM coordinate: X: 696352 - Y: 7086430

3. Field Work

The work staff must be complemented with a rigorous job field in allowing a confrontation with the information of Cabinet.

5. Conclusion

The information obtained through desk study, the vertical electrical soundings made field work were processed in previous exposures to try to draw conclusions, as accurately as possible, hydro geological conditions of the study area, to do strata division.

Ø  Clay loam soil: the maximum thickness is 37.1 m, the minimum thickness is 21.5 m, average of clay loam oil is about 28m;

Ø  Basalt: thickness is about 1130~1140m;

Ø  Sandstone: under basalt.
