XMOS is a new architecture MCU proposed by XMOS Company, which is a 32-bit high-performance multi-core event-driven processing device. XMOS can not only complete the control function like MCU, but also realize the standard timing like FPGA, which can better meet the complex data operation processing like DSP. It can be said that it integrates the characteristics of MCU, FPGA and DSP. XMOS and its unique architecture can accomplish things that ordinary MCUs cannot.
