Tips for Maintenance

4. Keep the tip clean and instantly clean the oxide If there is black oxide on the tip, the tip may not be tinned and must be cleaned immediately. When cleaning, first adjust the temperature of the soldering iron to about 250 ° C, then clean the soldering iron with a cleaning sponge, and then apply tin. Repeat the action until the oxide is cleaned.
5. Use low activity flux Highly active or corrosive fluxes will accelerate the corrosion of the soldering iron when heated, so low-corrosion fluxes should be used.
