1. Figure out Indicated Meaning of 5 Battery Test Results:
l GOOD BATTERY: There is no problems with the battery and you can use it with peace of mind;
l GOOD RECHARGE: It’s a good battery with low voltage, and you can recharge it before next using;
l REPLACE: The battery is almost or already broken, and you should replace the battery;
l BAD CELL REPLACE: The battery is broken or interiorly damaged, or even has short circuit, and it’s time to replace the battery;
l CHARGE RETEST: You should recharge or retest the battery to avoid incorrect battery data, and you should replace the battery when the same error test result appears again.
2. Identify the State of the Cranking System via Cranking Test Result
l AB201 will automatically complete the test when you start the engine as prompted;
l The tester will display the result including actual cranking voltage and actual cranking time;
l If cranking voltage value is lower than 9.6V, the cranking system is abnormal;
l If cranking voltage value is higher than 9.6V, the cranking system is OK.
3. Determine the Health State via the Charging Test Result
l Normal Charging Volt: The generator output is normal, no problem detected;
l Low Charging Volt: Check the drive belt of the generator and the connection between generator and battery, or follow the manufacturer’s suggestion to eliminate generator fault;
l High Charging Volt: Replace the generator assembly or a regulator to avoid battery damages;
l No Volt Output: Check the generator connection cable and the belt;
l Diode Test: There is at least one diode is damaged if the ripple volt is too high
