Operation:

Before testing, please make sure the surface of the test is clean without any contaminants.

Parallel electrode impedance test

The parallel electrode impedance test method is EOS/ESD-S11.11-1993. It is used to quickly test the uniformity of planar materials. It can also be used for the measurement of multilayer materials, but the temperature of the measurement should be measured in the data report. With humidity.

Place the meter on the surface of the object to be tested.
Set the switch to the desired test voltage position, 10 volts or 100 volts.
Press the test button with approximately 5 lbs. After the meter has tested the resistance, humidity and temperature, the data will be displayed on the LCD display. This process will last for about 15 seconds.

Surface impedance in ohms/square
The temperature unit is Celsius and the relative humidity unit is a percentage.
 

The meter will correct the measured value after pressing the measurement button. The meter will continue to display the last test data approximately 45 seconds after the button is released.

Concentric ring probe impedance measurement (concentric ring is optional)

Plug the cable into the 3.5mm jack of the meter. Connect the banana plug to the concentric ring probe.

Place the probe on the surface to be tested and press the test button for 15 seconds. The correct temperature and humidity will be displayed on the LCD display. The displayed resistance value must be multiplied by 10 to achieve accurate test data. The reading is displayed in ohms/square, for example: 3.5x104 ohms/square (displayed reading), The correct resistance should be 3.5x104 ohms/square.

Resistance measurement between points

This step is in accordance with EOS/ESD S4.1 and tests the impedance between two points in the grounding point.

Plug the cable plug into the 3.5 mm jack of the meter and connect the banana plug to the two 5 lb. hammers

Follow the test procedure to place the weight on the object's title side.

Turn the switch to the desired test voltage of 10 volts or 100 volts.

Press the test button until the value is displayed on the meter, press firmly on the switch until the resistance, relative humidity, temperature is displayed on the display.

Surface resistance - ground resistance test

This measurement method is used to measure the surface impedance between a point on the surface of the object and another ground point on the surface. The measurement method is in accordance with the EOS/ESD S4.1 measurement standard.

A. Meter placement: connect two test leads to the head and connect the fish clip to one of the heels, and the other end to a 5 pound hammer.

B. Connect the alligator clip to the known grounding point and place the probe on the surface of the object to be measured according to the required measurement requirements.

C. Press the test button until the LCD screen displays the resistance, humidity, and temperature test values. These readings will be in accordance with EIA, EOS/ESD ANSI, IEC-93 CECC and ASTM test procedures. When starting the test, especially high resistance materials, please Make sure that the test leads do not touch or overlap, and that the operator's hands should not touch the probe or test leads during accurate material testing.
