Wire mesh demister, also known as wire mesh mist eliminator, it is a kind of high efficiency vapor liquid separation device, it is used to remove the steam or vapor in the processing equipment.

Wire mesh demister is most often used to separate liquid drop with diameter of more than 3-5 μm in the separation tower. It is widely used in the chemical, petroleum, medical, light, metallurgy and environmental protection industries.

How a wire mesh demister works:

Step one: a vapor stream carrying entrained liquid droplets pass through a pad. The vapor moves freely through the knitted mesh.

Step two: the inertia of the droplets causes them to contact the wire surfaces and coalesce.

Step three: the large, coalesced droplets formed in the mesh ultimately drain and drop to the vessel bottom.
