Riveting nut post, also known as riveting stud or nut post, is a kind of fastener used in sheet metal, sheet metal, chassis and cabinet. One end of riveting nut post is hexagonal, and the other end is cylindrical. There is a undercut between the hexagon and the cylinder, and its inner shape is internal thread. The hexagon head is pressed into the preset hole of sheet metal by press machine (the diameter of the preset hole is generally slightly larger than that of the pressing hole) The cylindrical outer diameter of the rivet stud causes plastic deformation around the hole, and the deformed part is squeezed into the undercut of the rivet stud, so that the rivet stud is riveted tightly on the thin plate, thus forming an effective fixed internal thread on the thin plate.
