Spring energized PTFE seals are composed of  a U-cup shaped seal jacket and a special shape metal spring energizer.  

It is suitable for high-speeds,high temperature and some corrosive media applications.

Materials for U-cup shaped jackets: Virgin or Filler reinforced PTFE

Depending on applications, PTFE can be mixed with fillers to meet the requirements of application in order to provide the optimum sealing perperties.
