The spherical plain bearing is a spherical sliding bearing. Its sliding contact surface is an inner spherical surface and an outer spherical surface. It can rotate and swing at any angle during movement. It uses a variety of special processes such as surface phosphating, frying, padding, spraying, etc. The spherical plain bearing has the characteristics of large load capacity, impact resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, self-aligning and good lubrication.
The structure of the spherical plain bearing is simpler than that of the rolling bearing, which is mainly composed of an inner ring with an outer spherical surface and an outer ring with an inner spherical surface. Spherical plain bearings are generally used for low-speed oscillating movements (that is, angular movements). Since the sliding surface is spherical, tilting movements (that is, self-aligning movements) within a certain angle range are also possible. When the degree is large, it can still work normally.
Features
Spherical plain bearings can withstand larger loads. According to its different types and structure, it can bear radial load, axial load or combined load of radial and axial. Since the outer spherical surface of the inner ring is covered with composite material, the bearing can produce self-lubrication during operation. It is generally used for low-speed swing movement and low-speed rotation, and can also be used for tilting movement within a certain angle range. It can still work normally when the support shaft and the shaft shell hole are not centered. Self-lubricating joint bearings are used in water conservancy, professional machinery and other industries.
Application
Spherical plain bearings are widely used in engineering hydraulic cylinders, forging machine tools, engineering machinery, automation equipment, automotive shock absorbers, water conservancy machinery and other industries. Spherical plain bearings are spherical plain bearings. The basic type consists of inner and outer rings with spherical sliding spherical contact surfaces. Depending on its structure and type, it can withstand radial loads, axial loads, or combined loads acting simultaneously in the radial and axial directions.
Because the spherical sliding contact area of the joint bearing is large and the inclination angle is large, but also because most joint bearings adopt special processing methods, such as surface phosphating, zinc plating, chrome plating or outer sliding surface lining, inlaying, spraying, etc. Therefore, it has greater load capacity and impact resistance, and has the characteristics of anti-corrosion, wear resistance, self-aligning, good lubrication or no lubrication pollution, and can work normally even if it is installed in a wrong position. Therefore, the joint bearing is widely used in the swinging motion, the tilting motion and the rotating motion at a low speed.
Types
(1) GE… E type: only on the outer ring, without lubricating oil groove. Can withstand radial loads and smaller axial loads in either direction.
(2) Type GE… ES: single-slit outer ring with lubricating oil groove. Can withstand radial loads and smaller axial loads in either direction.
(3) GE ... ES-2RS type, GEEW ... ES-2RS type: single-slit outer ring, with lubricating oil groove, with sealing rings on both sides. Can withstand radial loads and smaller axial loads in either direction.
(4) GE ... ESN type: single-slit outer ring, GE ... XSN type: double-slit outer ring (split outer ring), with lubricating oil groove, and outer ring with stop groove. Can withstand radial loads and smaller axial loads in either direction. But when the axial load is borne by the stop ring, its ability to bear the axial load is reduced.
(5) GE… HS type: there is a lubricating oil groove in the inner ring, and the double half outer ring, the clearance can be adjusted after wear. Can withstand radial loads and smaller axial loads in either direction.
(6) GE… DE1 type: the inner ring is hardened bearing steel and the outer ring is bearing steel. It is extruded during the assembly of the inner ring, with lubricating oil grooves and oil holes. Bearings with an inner diameter of less than 15mm, without lubricating oil grooves and oil holes. Can withstand radial loads and smaller axial loads in either direction.
(7) GE… DEM1 type: the inner ring is hardened bearing steel and the outer ring is bearing steel. When the inner ring is assembled, it is extruded. After the bearing is installed in the bearing seat, the end groove is pressed out on the outer ring to fix the bearing axially. Can withstand radial loads and smaller axial loads in either direction.
(8) GE… DS type: the outer ring has assembly groove and lubrication groove. Only for large size bearings. Can withstand radial load and smaller axial load in any direction (the assembly groove cannot bear axial load on one side).
Angular contact spherical plain bearings
GAC… S type The inner and outer rings are hardened bearing steel, and the outer ring has oil grooves and oil holes. Can bear radial load and axial (joint) load in one direction.
Thrust articulated bearing
GX… S type The shaft ring and seat ring are hardened bearing steel; the seat ring has oil groove and oil hole. Can withstand axial load or combined load in one direction (in this case, the radial load value should not be greater than 0.5 times the axial load value).
