Silica powder - also known as silica ash - also known as micro silica powder - or silica ultrafine powder, quartz powder is white or gray powder, it is mainly through the recovery of dust in the flue gas of silicon metal or ferrosilicon alloy smelting and quartz mineral raw materials by mineral processing purification, crushing and grinding. The fineness of silicon powder: the fineness of silica fume is less than 1 micron accounts for more than 80%, the average particle size is 0.1 ~ 0.3 micron, and the specific surface area is 20 ~ 28m/g. Its fineness and specific surface area are about 80 ~ 100 times of cement and 50 ~ 70 times of fly ash.
Particle morphology and mineral phase structure: In the formation process of silica fume, amorphous spherical particles are formed due to the effect of surface tension during the phase transformation, and the surface is relatively smooth. Some of them are aggregates of multiple spherical particles stuck together. It is a very large specific surface area, very active volcanic ash material. Materials mixed with silica fume, tiny spheres can lubricate. The stability, reinforcing, thickening and thixotropy of ultrafine silicon powders have been widely used in many fields such as rubber, coating, medicine, paper making, daily chemical and so on, and provide the basis and technical guarantee for the development of new materials in related industrial fields.
