Everything begins from great grandfather Augusto, who had a great estate in the countryside between Bologna and Ferrara where cultivated pears, peaches, apples, tomatoes and wheat.
After the Second World War, Alba (Augusto’s daughter) arrange inside the estate a small laboratory where it produces for internal use the tomato paste, fruit compotes and jams, using the fruit and tomatoes left by the crops at the end of September and October, so that nothing was thrown away during the difficult situation at the time. The stocks were then consumed during the rigid and snowy winters inside the estate. At that time every housewife had her own recipe to make these delicious specialties. Here are some of our recipes that are still faithfully executed with the fruits from the orchards of Emilia Romagna to get the typical flavors of our land, the most forgotten.
This activity, created for the support of all the estate, becomes more and more important until 1971 when the family decides to make it a true production activity.
