Simple plastic PP PVC stainless steel column packing bed grid support plate for tower internals
Packing support plate, also called packing support grid, is an important tower internals in the packing tower, it is specially designed to support structured packing beds. For structured packing beds a lattice bar type packing support grid is used, which allows free and uniform passage of the vapour and liquid. Thus the capacity of the structured packing is not restricted.
The support grid is mainly used for support structure packing, it must be installed on a support rings and can be supplied with an integrated support beam. The support grid be made in single piece or multi piece construction and can therefore be installed through a manhole or body flange.
The primary function of the packing support grid/ plate is to serve as a physical support for the tower packing plus the weight of the liquid holdup. The range of packing support grids have a more open grid structure and are compatible with the layer design of structured packing. Multiple beam designs are available for random rings.
The packing support plate/gridcan also be constructed from thermoplastics, FRP or a variety of metals.
Metal:SS304, SS316, Carbon steel, other materials on request.
Plastic: PP, GFPP, PVDF, PE all is available.
