When the bacteria, viruses, spores or toxins are emitted mainly at a wavelength of 235.7nm by UV lamp, their DNA and structure are destroyed, rendering them unable to replicate and harmless. Even parasites such as cryptosporidium or giardia, which are extremely resistant to chemical disinfectants, are efficiently removed.
