(1) cement, concrete superplasticizer: lignosulfonate used as superplasticizer is one of the most widely used. In 1935, THE American E.W. Seripture successfully developed a lignosulfonate as the main component of the water reducer, from the beginning of human research on lignosulfonate water reducer. Lignin sulfonate used as cement, concrete superplasticizer can not only greatly improve its fluidity and plasticity, but also can greatly reduce harmful pores, significantly enhance the compressive strength.
(2) dispersant, flocculant and corrosion and scale inhibitor: lignosulfonate is a good performance of anionic surface active
agent, can be used as dispersant, flocculant, etc.
(3) Oilfield chemicals: Lignosulfonate has a special molecular structure and is widely used in oilfield chemicals. It is often
used as surfactant for tertiary oil recovery, drilling fluid treatment agent and water plugging agent. [5]
(4) Synthetic resin: since the 1990s, lignin is often used as a kind of synthetic polymer materials, resins and adhesives of a
basic renewable material. [5]
(5) polymer materials: lignin and its derivatives can be mixed with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl
alcohol(PVA) and other olefin polymer materials, improve the stability, strength and anti-photolysis and other properties of the material. Liu Chunfang et al added lignosulfonate to rubber as a kind of rubber reinforcing agent, which can improve the mechanical properties of rubber. Li Haijiang et al. compounded hydrolyzed lignin and natural rubber to form an interpenetrating network structure, and then obtained a lignin-natural rubber compound by co-precipitation. [5]
(6) Agricultural additives: sodium lignosulfonate can not only be used as a pesticide dispersant, but also as a wetting agent, complexing agent and fertilizer agent, widely used in all aspects of agriculture.
