Summary:
The oxygen index test equipment is used to determine the volume percentage of oxygen required in the process of polymer combustion. The oxygen index value of polymer is the lowest oxygen concentration (also known as oxygen index) required for maintaining the pattern combustion in the oxygen nitrogen mixture flow required for maintaining combustion for 50 mm or 180 s after the material is ignited.
The oxygen index analyzer can not only be used as a means to identify the flame retardancy of polymer, but also as a research tool, which provides a powerful test means for laboratory research on flame retardant formula and development of new flame retardant materials. It is suitable for combustibility testing of solid materials, laminated materials, foam plastics, fabrics, films and films.
