Rabies Virus Antibody Test Strip
1. General Description
RabiesVirus Antibody test strip is a chromatographic immunoassay for the detection of Rabies virus antibodies in canine serum. This is a diagnostic kit to detect rabies virus antibody by canine serum followed by putting them into the sample hole. If the rabies virus antibody in the specimen exceeds 0.5 IU/ml, these antibody bind to Rabies virus-gold particle conjugates and move on the membrane by capillary forces, and then shows a red line on the test line due to the binding with SPA which are already applied on the membrane. This test strip, the diagnostic reagent can detect rabies virus antibody quickly and simply within 10-15 minutes after injection of samples.
1. Strip Appearance
1) In a test strip: There is the sample drip part on the lower plastic cassette for sample dropping. The location of the test (T) and control (C) lines are marked on the rectangle display. The sample pad, feces separation pad, conjugate pad, nitrocellulose membrane, and absorption pad are attached to the test strip with them overlapped one after another.
2) Sample Dilution Buffer bottle: There is a transparent and colorless liquid buffer in the plastic bottle.
2. Sample Preparation
Collect and prepare serum samples using standard clinical laboratory procedures. Serum samples may be stored refrigerated (2~8℃) for up to 72 hours; for longer storage, freeze at or below -20℃ in vials with air-tight seals.
3. Test procedure
1) Collect serum samples.
2) Take 10 ul of serum to the first score line of a capillary tube.
3) Add 10 ul of serum to the sample dilution buffer, mix well.
4) Add 4-5 drops of the mixed diluents to the sample hole.
5) Interpret test results at 10-15 minutes.
