The R600-ER-R is a wired temperature monitor, RS485 cable communication technology is used so that it could work in some confidential places where there's no gprs, no wifi, no public network., for example, train station, power plant, water plant, police etc.
It can collect temperature around probe, and upload those temperature values to connected PC/server at set reporting interval;
It can give alarm when temperature reading is critical compared to the threshold value range.
If you need only 1 set R600-ER-R, it could be connected to PC/server with RS485-USB convert cable.
If more than 1 set is needed, then you need to buy a gateway which can accept over hundred RS485 input signals and then forward them to PC/server.
