Information
This type of flame monitoring generates a flame signal through UV radiation emitted by a gas or oil flame.
The detector is a UV phototube with 2 electrodes, when it is illuminated by light in the 190...270 nm range of the spectrum.
Will ignite, thereby starting the current in the flame detector circuit.
UV will not react to the hot refractory bricks in the combustion chamber, sunlight or lighting light.
The average life of UV unit is about 10´000 hours at the highest +50 °C; higher
The ambient temperature reduces the corresponding life of the unit
