ASME SA283 Grade A low tensile strength carbon steel sheet/plate is one of the hot-selling products of DELONG Steel.
SA283GRA steel plate belongs to low and medium tensile strength carbon structural steel plate, which is an American standard steel plate.
Carbon structural steel is a carbon steel with carbon content less than 0.8%. This steel contains less sulfur, phosphorus and non-metallic inclusions than carbon structural steel, and has excellent mechanical properties. Carbon structural steel can be divided into three categories according to different carbon content: low carbon steel (C ≤ 0.25%), medium carbon steel (C = 0.25-0.6%) and high carbon steel (c > 0.6%). According to different manganese content, carbon structural steel is divided into two groups: normal manganese content (manganese content 0.25% - 0.8%) and high manganese content (manganese content 0.70% - 1.20%). The latter has better mechanical properties and processability.
ASME SA283 / SA283M - 03 specification covers four grades, A, B C and D low and intermediate tensile strength carbon steel. They are structural quality for general applications.
