How to produce the log splitter hydraulic cylinder?

How to choose Cylinder Mounting                                                          

1, Flange mounting with high bearing strength of the center line, but it is strict with alignment of demanding. Rod end flange or without rod end flange can be used for cylinder. rod end flange is suitable to tensile load. Long stroke cylinder, horizontally mounted, may need to set additional seat at the free end to prevent sagging.

2, Trunnion mounting the cylinder can drive the load curve movement. Trunnion is typically disposed within the plane of the centerline of the piston rod, and only loaded in shear. Because it is a hinged installation, so it helps to compensate for misalignment degrees.

3, Fixed eye/Clevis mounting is part of the Bottom cover. Since the lever arm fulcrum outside the cylinder, so this installation is longer.

4, Extended rod mounting provides the same as the flange-mounted seat center line, but lower stiffness.

5. Foot mounting due to the stand below the centerline of the cylinder piston rod leaving withstand overturning moment. Stress values higher than the middle and lower lug installation stiffness. Foot-mounted allow larger degree of misalignment. Often with a key or pin to withstand shear loads, so that the mounting bolts only by tension.
