Your baked goods will slide right off the mat and even the gooiest messes will easily wipe clean. This thoughtfully designed mat also double as a pastry mat for prepping and measuring dough. Best of all the durable construction is design for countless uses.
Baking
Step 1: To use, place the baking mat on top of a cookie sheet or into a baking pan with the logo/markings facing up. DO NOT grease the baking mat.
Step 2: Place food onto the baking mat and cook per recipe instruction.
Step 3: Remove the cookie sheet from the oven and carefully remove your baked goods from the mat using a silicone, nylon or wood tool. DO NOT use sharp metal utensils.
The baking mat is oven safe to 480oF(249oC). It is also microwave, refrigerator and freezer safe. CAUTION: The baking mat will be hot when heated in the oven or microwave.
Pastry Mat:
Your baking mat can also be used as a pastry mat to kneed, roll or shape pastry dough, cookies, fondant, etc. Each mat features measurement markings for added convenience.
Cleaning
Your baking mat is not dishwasher safe. To clean, hand wash in warm water with a mild dishwashing soap using a soft sponge or dishcloth. Rinse thoroughly. Shake excess water from mat and let air dry.
A slight oil residue is normal after washing, as is discoloration. Neither will affect the performance of the baking mat.
Strong-flavored foods may leave a trace odor. To remove, apply a baking soda paste (1/2 cup of baking soda with 3 tablespoons of water). Let the paste stand for approximately 15 minutes. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
Do not use harsh cleaners or abrasive cleaning pads such as nylon brushes or steel wool.
Store the baking mat flat or loosely rolled. Do not fold or store anything on top of the mat, as this can leave creases in turn damaging the mat.
Helpful Hints and Warnings
For best results use a non-insulated metal cookie sheet. Insulated or air cookie sheets can prohibit the baking mat from heating properly.
Due to the baking mat’s excellent nonstick properties, dough has the tendency to side/flatten during cooking as there is little resistance. This tends to produce flatter and more round cookies.
The baking mat is designed to be used with bakeware. NEVER place the baking mat directly onto your oven rack.
The baking mat is not intended to be used as a cutting board. DO NOT cut or use sharp metal utensils to remove food from the mat.
DO NOT use the baking mat under a broiler or on your stove top /grill.
