Position pulling eye as shown (see inset) on anchor rod. Attach hoist (approximately two times the length of the dead-end) above the anchor rod and pull the guy to desired tension.

Tape the strand (if necessary) and cut it one hand’s width orapproximately 3" above the anchor rod.

Position the strand in the grip at the cross-over mark for the application. With the right hand, pull down on the strand to remove as much slack as possible. Using the left hand, align the loop of the grip with the groove in the anchor rod eye. After proper alignment is made, apply thumb pressure at the cross-over mark to hold strand tail in place.

Hold the strand away from the hoist and apply all of the first leg except for the last two pitches.

Insert the second leg through the anchor rod eye, match the cross-over mark and apply.

To ease the application on the last two pitches, the legs may be split (see inset). Make sure that all rod ends are snapped into place before removing the hoist.
