Powder Cement based Crystalline Waterproofing coating

Elokt E-280 is a cement-based powder rigid waterproof material. Its unique waterproof mechanism: after brushing the base surface and contact with water, the material of the active substance through the action of water to penetrate the concrete, and generated in vivo irregular dendritic crystals insoluble in water, filling the capillary channel and micro-cracks, which make the concrete dense permanent waterproof effect.

Base treatment

1.The base surface must be clean, sturdy; oil contamination must be cleaned up but not use acidic material.

2.Where there is a flaw such as a blister, hole or crack must be repaired at first. When the base surface is too smooth, use grinding machine to polish and clean up with water.

3.Make sure the base is wet but without water before construction.

Confection and Construction

1. Put the powder into the water according to intrusion, starting slow stirrer stir until slurry without particulates.

2. Use coarse hair brush or roller to brush on the base directly, usually brushing 2 to 3 times to meet the design requirements. The time interval of each application is based on the last non-sticking coating, which is about 2 ~3h. A next application must be done perpendicular to the former one.

3. It is suitable to confect when in need.Stirring slurry intermittently in order to prevent precipitation during the operation.

Dosage

1.3kg/m when the thickness of coating is 0.8 mm

2.5kg/m when the thickness of coating is 1.5 mm

Precautions

·When the coating is dry, sprinkler maintenance at least twice a day for about 2 to 3 days;

·Avoid construct at high temperature and drying environment,;

·Do not construct on rain, wind day and construct under 5°C.

·Pay attention to waterproof layer;

·After adding water to slurry, promptly use up. The dried material will invalid after adding water again.

Special Tips:

Elokt E-280 is a rigid waterproof material, for the shrinkage deformation, vibration structural waterproofing should use flexible waterproof material (eg: K11 high elastic waterproof slurry), for the nozzle, expansion joints, settlement, back strip, etc. to use a flexible waterproof sealing material (eg: E-303 Runtu acrylic waterproof coating)
