Operating instructions
1. Check the oil level, it is advisable to charge the oil to the oil center when stop pumping. If too low, it can not set up oil seal effect to the exhaust valve then influence vacuum degree. If too high, it may cause the oil sprayed when start the pump and connect to atmosphere.
It is normal that oil level rises when running.Oil should be the clean vacuum system oil of specified number. Charge the oil from the oil adding hole.When the finish charging oil , screw up the screw. Oil should be filtered to avoid debris entering and blocking oil holes.
2. The pump can start at one time in the atmosphere or any vacuum.
If the pump port is installed with solenoid valve, it should act simultaneously with the pump.
3. When the temperature of the environment is too high, the temperature of the oil will rise, the viscosity will decrease, and the saturation vapor pressure will increase, which will lead to the decrease of the ultimate vacuum, especially the total pressure measured by the thermocouple.
The ultimate vacuum can be improved by improving ventilation cooling, or improving the performance of pump oil.
4. Check the ultimate vacuum of the vacuum pump ,the compression type mercury vacuum gauge shall prevail. If the meter is calibrated by sufficient pre-pumping , pump temperature achieve to be stable, pump inlet is directly connected to the meter , pump will reach its ultimate vacuum within 30 minutes running. The measurement result of the total pressure meter is related to the pump oil , the vacuum gauge, and the regulation error, sometimes the error can be very large, the result can only be used for reference.
5. If the relative temperature is higher, or the pumped gas contains with more condensable steam. After the suction vessel is connected, the gas ballast valve shall be opened , after 20-40 minutes running, the valve shall be closed. Before Stopping the pump. The gas ballast valve can be opened for 30 minutes non-load running to extend the pump oil life.
6. Oil selection:
The viscosity of pump oil affects the starting power and the ultimate vacuum of the pump. The high viscosity is favorable for vacuum, and the starting power is larger.
The saturated vapor pressure of oil under the pump temperature will affect the total ultimate pressure of the pump, the lower the better.
The viscosity of high speed vacuum pump oil and 3# diffusion pump oil is larger than that of No.1 vacuum pump oil, which is higher in saturated vapor pressure but lower in viscosity, but the price of 3# diffusion pump oil is higher.
The specific choice of oil can be selected according to the following introduction and specific use requirements.
(1) In general, if the total pressure is expected to be above 6x10-2pa, the high speed vacuum pump oil produced in Shanghai should be applied. For 4 L/S small pumps, 1# vacuum pump oil can be used as replacement. 3# diffusion pump oil can be applied to 8L/S or above direct-drive pumps.
(2) If the vacuum requirement is not high, and the oil pollution is changed frequently, the vacuum pump oil is poor in supply, 50# mechanical oil can be used as replacement.
(3) If the ambient temperature is low , the pump is difficult to start, and the ultimate vacuum requirement is not high, the vacuum pump oil or mechanical oil in lower viscosity can be used.
