What is a grease trap? The grease trap is a special equipment made of polypropylene, which is designed to separate fats and eliminate them from wastewater.
The fat catcher of the "Profi" series is a sealed plastic container, inside of which there are dividing partitions and a removable tray for garbage collection. To prevent unpleasant odors from coming out, as well as for ease of maintenance, the grease trap is closed with a lid with clamps and a rubber seal. The fat catchers of the PRO series differ from the STANDARD fat catchers by the presence of a removable tray for collecting larger garbage, such as potato peels, onion husks, pieces of meat scraps and others.
Technology
The grease trap of the "Pro" series is a sealed plastic container, inside of which there are dividing partitions and a removable tray for garbage collection. To prevent unpleasant odors from coming out, as well as for ease of maintenance, the grease trap is closed with a lid with clamps and a rubber seal.

1 - cover; 2 - sealer; 3 - inlet pipe; 4 - water extinguisher; 5 - removable tray for collecting large debris; 6 - housing; 7 - outlet pipe; 8 - separation plate; 9 - separation plate; 10 - settling chamber.
Waste water flows through the inlet pipe into a removable tray. There is a separation of large garbage. A removable limiter is built into the inlet pipe, which allows you to control and evenly distribute the flow of incoming water. Then the water flow enters the separation chamber, in which small solid debris particles are deposited.
In the settling chamber, the final separation of solid particles from water occurs due to the difference in specific gravity. The purified water enters the general network through a discharge pipe through a distribution pocket that prevents solid particles from entering the sewer.
Mounting
Installation of the grease trap is recommended to be carried out by a qualified specialist. The PRO series grease trap is installed on the floor under the washing bath or near it, in a convenient place for maintenance.
Recommended procedure for installing a grease trap:
1. Install the grease trap on the site planned for installation.
2. Disconnect the sewer at the place where the grease trap will be connected.
3. Connect the corrugation of the washing bath to the inlet pipe.
4. Connect the discharge pipe of the grease trap and the drain point to the sewer with a sewer pipe.
5. Open the faucet in the washing bath and fill the grease trap with water.
6. Check the connection points of the grease trap for the absence of leaks.
Maintenance and operation
Maintenance of the equipment consists in the mechanical removal of solid contaminants from the grease trap.
Maintenance is performed in the following sequence:
1. Open the lid of the grease trap.
2. Remove the removable plate from the grease trap, clean the bottom of the chambers from silt, if necessary, clean the inlet pipe and the distribution pipe.
3. Insert the removable design elements of the grease trap (removable tray) into place.
4. Close the lid of the grease trap.
The frequency of maintenance is set by the operating organization independently, depending on the degree of contamination of the source wastewater and the operating mode of the kitchen, but at least once a week.
It is recommended to clean the grease trap before starting the kitchen, because in this case, the settled suspension will be easier to remove from the bottom of the chambers.
