PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) has the strongest toughness, low friction coefficient, strong corrosion resistance, aging resistance, weather resistance, good radiation resistance and other characteristics in fluoroplastics. Compared with other commercial fluorothermoplastics, PVDF has the lowest melting point and the highest thermal deflection temperature under load.
PVDF has corresponding applications in industry, electronic appliances, chemical equipment, wire and cable, pipelines, etc., mainly used as seals, gaskets, lining materials, etc. The most widely used is still applied to high-end functional films such as piezoelectric thin films, solar backsheet films, and lithium battery separators.
