16 Special Function

LAUNCH X431 V+ provides 11 powerful special functions for a precise test result of vehicle health status:

1. Oil Reset Service
Clear the Oil light, perform reset for the engine oil life system;

2. Steering Angle Calibration
Reset the brake pad after repairs in electronic parking brake system are done.

3. Battery Register/Maintenance
Re-match the control module and motoring sensor for battery detecting more accurately, clear original low battery information and prevent the related control module from detecting false information.

4. ABS Bleeding
Perform various bi-directional tests to check the operating conditions of Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).

5. Electronic Throttle Position Reset
Initialize the throttle actuators to the default state for regulating throttle (or idle engine) operations accurately.

6. DPF Regeneration
Clear particulate matter from the DPF filter to stabilize the filter performance.

7. TPMS Reset
Reset tire pressure and turn off the tire pressure MIL.

8. Immobilizer Matching
Clear the lost car key’s information and program the new key into the ECU database to protect user’s car from being stolen.

9. Fuel Injector Coding
Program in the new fuel injector numbers after replacement to replace the ones previously programmed into the ECU.

Q1: What is difference between launch x431 v and launch x431 v+?

A1: The differences are as below:

1. The screen size of LAUNCH X431 V+ (10.1 inches) is larger than V(8 inches). One screen can display 15 data stream (Graphic and textual), three more than V, which is easy to navigate.

2. You can use LAUNCH X431 V+ longer and avoid frequent charging, because its battery life is 1.6 times that of V.

3. LAUNCH X431 V+ equipped with more diagnostic cables than V. so the compatible vehicle models of LAUNCH X431 V+ are broader.V+ is compatible with LAUNCH X431 heavy duty modules (need to be purchased separately) and becomes a diesel-integrated diagnostic device with more powerful functions.

V is not compatible with heavy-duty module.

Q2: Does this tool offer super car diagnostics?? ferrari, maserati, lamborghini??? clutch pid, service reset etc

A2: This tool can test ferrari, maserati but not lamborghini, it can not only do clutch pid, service reset these basic function on your ferrari, maserati, but also can do such as battery reset, brake reset, oil reset, ABS bleeding, throttle adaptation, TPMS reset, DPF regeneration, gear learning and IMMO, etc.

Q3: Will this scanner work on a ford 7.3 diesel motor?
A3: i have the x431 vplus with the heavy duty and I use it on the ford with the cummings I can use it on the 7.3 but like I said I have the x431 plus with heavy duty for me the little extra coast for the heavy duty was worth it.

Q4: Can I use it on car diesel?
A4: Supports some 12V diesel cars.you can send the model to us.

Q5: Can this reset tpms for 2007 Silverado?
A5: Yes this will reset tpms codes for your silcerado, is Also able to relearn toms sensor positions, and can be used to register programmed sensors
