Characteristics
1. High temperature resistance: the melting point of graphite is 3800 ℃, and the boiling point is 4200 ℃.Even if graphite is burned by ultra-high temperature arc, its weight loss and thermal expansion coefficient are very small.
2. High Strength: Graphite strength increases with temperature, The strength of graphite doubles when the temperature is 2000 ℃.
3. Electrical Conductivity: The Electrical conductivity of graphite is 100 times higher than general non-metallic ore.
4. Thermal conductivity: Graphite has more thermal conductivity than steel, iron, lead and other metal materials. Its thermal conductivity decreases with the increase of temperature, and even becomes an adiabatic at extremely high temperatures.
5. Self-Lubricant: The self-lubrication of graphite enables it to be widely used in graphite seals,graphite parts of machine and other products.
6. Corrosion resistance: Graphite has good chemical stability in normal temperature, acid resistance, alkali resistance, corrosion resistance of organic solvents.
7. Thermal shock resistance: Graphite can withstand drastic temperature changes without being destroyed when used at normal temperature. When the temperature changes abruptly, the volume of graphite becomes small and no cracks will occur.
