Vitamin E (VE for short) has important physiological functions and is an essential nutrient for the human body. There are four homologues of natural VE, which are called α‑tocopherol, β‑tocopherol, γ‑tocopherol and δ‑tocopherol. They all have the co-Chemicalbook nature of natural VE, and show different personalities, so they are differentiated in function and applicable fields. The α-type monomer has the greatest biological activity, and has the best efficacy when used as health products. D-alpha-tocopherol acetate is one of the derivative products of D-alpha tocopherol, which continues the biological activity of D-alpha tocopherol.

Product Application
Tocopherol acetate, also known as vitamin E acetate, is a common vitamin supplement. It is an ester of acetic acid and tocopherol (vitamin E) and is commonly used in skin care products such as skin creams. Tocopherol acetate is not oxidized and can penetrate the skin into living cells, of which about 5% is converted into free Chemicalbook tocopherol, providing beneficial antioxidant effects. Since the phenolic hydroxyl group is blocked, tocopherol acetate is used as a substitute for tocopherol itself, thereby providing products with lower acidity and longer shelf life. It is believed that once absorbed by the skin, acetate will be slowly hydrolyzed to regenerate tocopherols and provide sun protection.
